Andrew represents the Marron Growers Association, whose combined membership is the largest group of individual licensed aquaculture enterprises in WA. Andrew has spent many years working in the area of biological sciences with a particular interest in primary production, aquatic ecosystem management, and adaptive fisheries resource management.
Andrew has had previous Board Member expertise with organisations including Recfishwest, being elected by the board as Deputy Chairman in 2008. He was subsequently elected Chairman of Recfishwest in 2009-2014, leading that organisations successful transition from clubs based association to a well-respected and recognised representative stakeholder organisation.
In 2011, Andrew was invited to be part of the Ministerial advisory group with the WA Department of Fisheries investigating current and emerging habitat enhancement technologies. Consequently he has provided a leading role in developing both government and community based aquatic restoration projects in Western Australia. With a strong governance and external communications background, he hopes to provide WA Marron Growers with positive and productive representation as a Director of ACWA.
