Board of Directors
ACWA is a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to the promotion and the development of the aquaculture industry. The Board comprises nine Directors, seven of whom are elected and two who may be appointed, including the Independent Chair.
In addition, the Board has the ability to draw on key areas of expertise on an ongoing basis to ensure that the best information is available for decision making.
The constitution requires that ACWA has two operating sub-committees these being the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee and the Governance Committee. In addition, the Board has elected to establish an R&D Committee. Each of these Committees provides recommendations to the Board in relation to their designated functions, which are covered by Committee Charters and given effect via a Delegations Register. Each Director sits on at least one sub-committee and in this way the workload is spread across the Board.
