The Albany Shellfish Hatchery

In 2018 the State Government in partnership with the Aquaculture Council of WA established the Albany Shellfish Hatchery to support the development of bivalve shellfish aquaculture in WA. The hatchery supplies spat (juveniles) to shellfish growers throughout the State and is licensed to produce a range of species including oysters, mussels and scallops.
